Programs designed for you.
We provide programs that engage the mind and body while promoting community and connection. We enrich our residents’ lives through carefully curated programs designed to meet their individual needs.
One of the ways we care for our residents is through programming and events that contribute to their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The eliseo Life Enrichment Team thoughtfully plans each activity and outing based on residents’ input, interests, and desires. From adventurous bus trips to fishing excursions and picnics at Mt. Rainier, there really is no limit to the adventures we can embark on together.
But residents don’t have to leave eliseo to have fun. They can concoct deliciously cooked and baked goods in our resident kitchen, create beautiful art pieces and enjoy a variety of entertainment that includes string bands and professional dancers from around the world—all on campus.
Animals in the long term care setting have been proven effective in enhancing the quality of life for its residents. It is the policy of our department to provide residents an opportunity to reminisce, socialize & increase positive self-image through unconditional acceptance that pets provide. The creation of a home like atmosphere with pets enhances resident’s level of responsiveness to the environment. Our 115lb Akita rescue named Summer Girl Clark leads the pack with 5 other dogs, along with 1 mini horse, 2 pigs, bunnies & perhaps some other unusual furry friends from time to time. All create sunshine, smiles & many magical moments during visits. If that were not enough, a chinchilla, 2 cockatiels & various fish tanks ‘live’ throughout our community
We encourage families and friends to bring in their well-behaved animal(s) to be ‘visiting’ pets. Of course, for the safety of our residents and in accordance with State regulations, owners must first complete an application and provide shot records. In addition, all pets must successfully pass a behavioral evaluation and be registered with The Life Enrichment Department prior to visiting. We typically have about 35 visiting animals.

- Philosophy –
Animals in Long Term Care facilities have proven effective in enhancing the quality of life for its residents. Therapeutic effects range from sensory stimulation to marked physical and emotional improvements. Through the creation of home-like atmosphere utilizing pets, animals in assisted therapy and visiting pet programs enhance residents’ level of responsiveness to the environments and serves as a catalyst for social interaction. By having a visiting pet program, a world of opportunities opens for each individual who have been separated from loved ones and home.

Rehabilitation is a cornerstone of our mission. There is nothing more rewarding than helping an individual rehabilitate and return to their prior living situation or highest level of functioning. We feature several facilities and services to aid in this transition.
Senior Therapy Gym
Eliseo has one of the largest senior therapy gyms in the Pacific Northwest. With high-tech therapy equipment, a homelike setting, and a knowledgeable team, our rehabilitation clients receive the support and resources they need to maintain their strength, and by extension, their independence.
Specialized Rehabilitation Methods
eliseo offers several rehabilitation modalities to patients who have not responded to conventional therapeutic interventions. These modalities include physical, occupational, speech and swallow, therapy services, ultrasound application, and electrical stimulation or Short-Wave Diathermy. All methods serve functional goals such as improving flexibility and muscle strength, enhancing walking ability, returning to leisure activities, or improving daily living activities.
Our caring rehabilitation team offers these services as appropriate to both inpatients and outpatients. Many clients have achieved success far beyond their expectations.
