Our Board of Governors ensures that eliseo mission and purpose are represented in everything we do. Through effective planning and oversight, they provide guidance to continuously strengthen our programs and services.
We are looking for you!
Our Board of Governors is looking for new members. One of the best resources of potential new board members is the collection of personalities that each one of us has in our own lives. Although the perfect board member is difficult to define, I would like to share with you some of the characteristics we are looking for.
Presently we are in need of three board members. We need a minimum of one Lutheran. Preferably we would like individuals with back grounds in architecture, engineering, IT, the law, or education (teachers at all levels and administrators). Ideally we would like members under the age of 60 and we would value diversity in gender and ethnic backgrounds.
You may know many individuals that might be interested to serve on our board. If you identify any potential board members that meet these characteristics, I would ask you to inquire about their interest. If they are receptive, let me know via email and the Governance Committee will do the rest. Thank you for your attention.

The eliseo foundation supports the mission of eliseo to make life better for our residents.
We are a senior community where residents find kinship, fun, and belonging. We are the only nonprofit campus in Pierce County that participates in Medicare and Medicaid, while still offering a full spectrum of quality care and services at an affordable price.
Over 50% of our Health Care Center residents have outlived their savings and rely on eliseo and Medicaid for their daily needs. With the decline in government reimbursements, we must write off over $1 million in uncompensated care each year.
We maintain the mission we were founded upon 80 years ago to serve "any and all in need."
